Media literacy is currently at a point of transition, made of opportunity, but also of risk. We need now to be very clear about our aims and priorities ‚ÄĒ because if we are not clear about where we are going, we are very likely to lose our way. I want to look at two key areas, which have so far been developing rather in parallel: media literacy and digital literacy. These two policy initiatives seem to have come from rather different directions, and to have rather different concerns and aims.
